Marina Lytle, Ed.S

Director

Ms. Lytle received a B.A. in History and a M. Ed. in Special Education from UNC-Charlotte. She earned an Educational Specialist Degree, Ed.S, in Educational Leadership from Union University. Her area of focus is the measurement of school related stress among Asian students in international school settings. Ms. Lytle has 30 years of educational experience that include teaching from grade one through university level and holding various administrative positions. She has served at KIA since 2008.

Julia Le

Business Manager

Julia Le has a B.B.A. from Kunming University of Science and Technology and received her M.B.A. from Yunnan University. She has 14 years of work experience in the administrative and finance fields, having worked at various multinational companies in the international trade, commerce, and education areas. She is passionate about financial planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and performance measurement. She is a CMA (Certified Management Accountant) recognized by IMA (The Institute of Management Accountants).

Jason Chong, MA (Oxon), PGCE

Secondary Coordinator

Mr. Chong initially studied for a B.A. and M.A. in Physics and Philosophy from the University of Oxford, located in England. He then went on to study for a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education from the Institute of Education, University of London, specializing in Education Science. Mr. Chong has more than 10 years’ classroom experience, teaching in both middle school and high school. He is passionate about lifelong learning. Furthermore, he has a keen interest in the academic, moral and social development of every secondary student. He has served at KIA since 2015. 

Jean Bannen, BA (Ed)

Elementary Coordinator

Ms. Bannen has been on staff at KIA since 2003. She graduated from Carroll University in 1968 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. She taught elementary students in Wisconsin, Indiana, and Massachusetts, USA.  Ms. Bannen has a lifetime Elementary teaching license from the state of Wisconsin.  She also returned to Carroll in 1999 and added an Early Childhood Certification.  Ms. Bannen says, “The students who have graduated from KIA are making a difference in the lives of the people they work with around the world.”
