Kunming International Academy Middle School serves grades 6-8. Our goal is to help each student to grow intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
KIA Middle School is a “self-contained” school with its own schedule. The emphasis is on foundational studies in mathematics, English Language Arts, social studies and science.
Students have homeroom teachers to create a secure, small learning community. During the non-core enrichment classes, grade levels are mixed to create a larger middle school community. Project-based learning is emphasized during science and social studies courses. Cross-curricular learning activities are developed and presented.
